Good Out
Good finishing frames or frame, ususally means striking out after struggling earlier in the game.

Goose Egg
Got nothing for the effort made.

Grab
The ball grabs the lane by creating friction. Also something you don't want to do when releasing the ball. Don't grab it.

Grandma's Teeth
Another name for the big five split.

Greek Church
Another name for the big five split. .

Groove
A bowler that is performing particularly well is "in the groove" or is "grooved".

Gross Weight
The weight of a bowling ball. The maximum gross weight of a legal bowling ball is 16 pounds after drilling.

Gutter
Catches errant shots on either side of the lane and guides the ball to the pit in back.

Gutter Ball
A ball that doesn't stay on the lane all the way to the pit area.

Gutter Shot
A strike line very near the gutter.
