Bowling Glossary

Open Bowling
Bowling that is not league, tournament or other organized play. This where practice takes place along with recreational play.

Open Frame
A frame that is not a mark. Neither a strike or a spare.

Out Of Bounds
Basically taken from golf. The ball goes out of bounds when it is thrown to far out to an area that won't hook back to the pocket. Out the window.

Over
The acculmulative number of pins over par for any number of games. 200 is par.

Over-Turn
Rotating the fingers around the ball too much.
